CELEBRATING PRIDE MONTH 2022

What is Pride Month?

June represents Pride Month, but what is it and why is it so important?

Pride Month is celebrated yearly from June 1st to June 30th. It is a worldwide event honouring the 1969 Stonewall riots. The LGBTQIA+ community stand to uplift the voices of millions across the world, by supporting and inspiring each other in many different ways. Although Pride Month takes place in June, the LGBTQIA+ community should be celebrated, included, and advocated for at all times.

How is it celebrated?

Pride is celebrated internationally every year during the month of June, with celebrations including marches, festivals, parties and much more. It is a very important month to reflect on the history as well as supporting the future of LGBTQIA+ rights. Millions of people take part in the celebrations, which strengthens the visibility and joy of the community.

Pride is celebrated to its full potential as a way of reflecting on the history and supporting the future of LGBTQIA+ rights.

How Your Claim Matters celebrated Pride

Here at Your Claim Matters, our team came together to celebrate and recognise the LGBTQIA+ community. On Wednesday 22nd June, our office was bright with colourful decorations around and above every desk area! Our employees were invited to dress in bright clothes only, with team competitions being played throughout the day. It was great to see everyone coming together and getting involved with the group tasks.

We believe Pride Month should be celebrated every month, which is why we continue to work hard to ensure that we create an even more inclusive and supportive workspace for every single member of our team.

The Fab Femme was created in 2010 by Aryka Randall. The Fab Femme is a space created for LGBTQ+ women where they can celebrate each other and learn about stories told within society.

Happy Pride Month!🏳
